The Campsie RSL team, together with its experienced consultants, have been busy working on detailed plans for the proposed redevelopment of the club into a mixed-use precinct. Since the lodgement of the Planning Proposal in November 2015, the club has been working on the preparation of a Development Application for the Stage 1 Works for the proposed new Campsie RSL.
Prior to preparing the Development Application, Campsie RSL announced the undertaking of an architectural design competition that would allow selected architectural firms to submit their design concepts for the new mixed use site.
Following the submission of the four design concepts for the Campsie RSL redevelopment, the club has now announced the winning entry. Marchese Partners was one of four architectural firms which prepared initial design concepts for the club’s redevelopment.
After an extensive review process with an experienced judging panel, this firm has been formally announced as the design competition winners, with their design concept to be developed into a detailed Development Application.
The proposed redevelopment of Campsie RSL aims to provide the Canterbury community with:
- an expanded club facility
- seniors living apartments
- retail facility
- a childcare facility
- a state of the art fitness centre
- basement community and resident car parking.
Now Marchese Partners has been appointed, the club is working with the team and project consultants to prepare the Development Application that is expected to be lodged to Canterbury Bankstown Council in August/September this year.
This development application will propose the scope of work as part of Stage 1, which includes 50 seniors living units and basement car parking.
